Chelsea Mervenne

Chelsea Mervenne currently serves as one of the Environmental Justice chairs on the DC Commission on Climate Chance and Resiliency. She began her career on the Community Involvement team in U.S. EPA’s Superfund Division in Flint, Michigan and in communities affected by hazardous waste.

She moved to Washington, DC in 2018 and worked at a small environmental nonprofit where she designed fun, environmental and climate programs for Spanish-speaking families.

Over the last two years, Chelsea has been working at the U.S. Department of Energy where she focuses on stakeholder engagement and the integration of energy and environmental justice into all aspects of energy efficiency and renewable energy.
